A Little Bit of Art History part 1. 2004.
39x24 inches.
Acrylic painting on board.
The Little Bits of Art History are made up of painted copies (Appropriation) of Old and Modern Masters. They are juxtaposed using the structure of the Golden Section. These paintings mirror the world in which we are bombarded with images and also reflect the present obsession with celebrity & fame. Among the artists are Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rothko, Judy Chicago and Olafur Eliasson.
