This painting refers to the fact that war has become so impersonal and divorced from the reality of its consequences that missiles are launched from the safety of the bunker. The innocent sounding “collateral damage” means human beings have been slaughtered. This is a three-dimensional textural painting with objects, like toy soldiers, attached.
